“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” – Albert Einstein

Hello! My name is Jordan Richards, and this is my e-portfolio. Below you will find my teaching philosophy and resume. On the other pages, you will find different examples of why I would be an asset to your school system. Thank you for taking the time to look over my e-portfolio.

Since I was a teenager, I have always been drawn to helping children. When I was a freshman in high school, I thought that I wanted to be a teacher. In my junior year, I had a fantastic teacher, and she helped me decide that I want to teach. The classroom experiences that I’ve had only reinforced my passion for working with kids. I love watching them discover new things and seeing their expressions when they overcome a challenge.  When I have free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing photography, mostly of my son and nature.

Teaching Goals:

  1. Inspire students to be the best version of themselves.
  2. Make learning fun and engaging for the students.
  3. Make learning interactive for the students.
  4. Helping students to connect what they learn to real-life situations.
  5. Stay up to date on all the tools available and incorporate them in a meaningful way.
